6th World Congress Virtual Press Office

ESPGHAN are pleased to welcome journalists from across the globe to the virtual 6th World Congress where they will be able to obtain first-hand research, opinion and information on numerous paediatric digestive, hepatological and nutritional health issues affecting the world today.

Press Registration

Press registration for journalists wishing to attend the virtual World Congress is now open. Press registration is free but subject to verification and approval by ESPGHAN’s press agency, emotive.

To apply for press registration, please contact the email address below and attach a copy of your press card, or a letter from your editor confirming your credentials. You must also include your full name, the title of your publication, as well as a contact email and telephone number and the country you are attending from.

Once submitted, ESPGHAN aim to confirm your registration status within two working days.

Virtual Press Operation

Registered members of the press are invited to use the virtual congress platform, including the virtual press booth. Press members will be sent a digital press pack, containing all relevant congress information, press releases and expert spokespeople biographies.

Members of the press are invited to arrange one-to-one interviews with leading experts via the Press Office throughout the Congress.

The Press Office will be open from 8.00am – 6.00pm on Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and from 8.00am – 2.00pm on Saturday 6th June.

Press Policy

  • The use of the ESPGHAN name, ESPGHAN logo, and the congress logo in any fashion, by any commercial entity, for any purpose is expressly prohibited before, during and after a congress without prior written consent of ESPGHAN.
  • Picture taking, filming and recording of the Scientific Programme or any part of it is not allowed unless approved in writing by the Professional Congress Organisation acting on behalf of ESPGHAN. If you would like to request permission, this must be done in advance, please email
  • Press and media interviews can be arranged on-demand through ESPGHAN’s media agency, emotive. Please contact to arrange an interview.
  • The guidelines for press, media and publications are applicable for the publication of material and information on the internet. Given that all material presented at the congress is of public interest and not confidential anymore, ESPGHAN expects such publications to be accessible without prior registration to a site even if the registration is free.

In addition to these media policies, ESPGHAN would like to make clear that accepted abstracts are accepted on the basis that they remain unpublished by any other person or organisation other than ESPGHAN until their presentation at the World Congress.

Any person or organisation wishing to publish a press release on an accepted abstract must ensure that the press release is embargoed until 00.01AM local time (to the congress) on the day of presentation. Press releases concerning accepted abstracts must also be reviewed by ESPGHAN’s media team and as such should be submitted to . ESPGHAN’s media team aim to review the press release within two working days of receipt.
